What Can I Expect?
How long is service?
In total, a Mt. Zion Church service is about 90 minutes in length. Our praise and worship team begins by leading us in a powerful worship service through songs and testimonies. We then have offering and brief announcements. Next, one of our choirs lead us in worship. After the music portion of the service is complete, our pastor, Elder Darius Stanley, will deliver an encouraging and Bible-centered message. The final portion of our service is an invitation to Christ, as we invite you to receive prayer, as well as become a member of our church family and accept Christ in your life.
what type of music do you play?
For the majority of our service, you will hear contemporary and traditional gospel. Our music ministry aims to keep our services upbeat and uplifting. To get a glimpse of the types of songs you will hear, check out our Spotify playlists by clicking here.
What about my kids?
We believe that kids should have fun and engage with each other as they learn more about Jesus Christ. Children in grades K-12 will engage in a fun and safe learning environment that encourages them to learn about Christ openly and freely. Our children's church is held every 2nd and 4th Sunday in the Robert Allen Conference Room to the right of the sanctuary. They participate in Bible teachings, games, activities, and plan their own community outreach projects.
What should I wear?
Most of our members wear Sunday clothes including dresses, skirts, dress pants, and dress shirts. But at Mt. Zion, we want you to feel comfortable and at home as you grow with us, so come as you are.
What's the culture like at Mt. Zion?
We take pride in treating everyone who walks through our doors like family. We are an upbeat and welcoming church that is very family-oriented. We encourage families to worship and experience God together. We want you to feel comfortable and welcomed as our guest.
